I suppose it's too late to wish everyone a "Happy New Year!". Right then, on to the music...
Uzeda is a Sicilian "math rock" band formed in 1987. It's been around for over 20 years now and it strikes me that it hasn't made more of a name for themselves. Despite having their albums produced by the indomitable Steve Albini (whose albums I will eventually upload), their apparent obscurity here in the U.S. further exemplifies the reluctance of people to explore new musical horizons. Ironic, since they sound a lot like Sonic Youth circa "Goo" era, albeit with a more sludgier sound. Enjoy.
